Shooting Fundamentals

You owe it to yourself (and your loved ones) to hire a professional to learn how to shoot. Shooting Low or Low-Left? Dumping more rounds is Bad/Wrong Practice! It will be harder for you to turn around if you continue Bad/Wrong Practice you get. The purpose of taking a class is to know how and what to practice. Correct practice is what makes you good. Everyone wants to shoot like John Wick, yet nobody practices like him or gets an instructor like Taran Butler. Myelination of the correct neuro-pathways is accomplished by good practice, which starts with taking class/instruction from an educated and experienced trainer.

Not all instructors are created equal. Hanging out with a person who took a 3-day class and is now an "instructor" often does not work. Just because your neighbor is/was L.E. does not mean they have the same knowledge and experience as a POST Certified LE Academy Firearms Instructor. Just because your buddy is a GM at USPSA does not mean they can also teach!

Change the way you think about ammunition. Yes, it is expensive. Stop buying by the box and start purchasing by the case. You should have enough stock where you should be insulated from price hikes that may last a few years. Expecting to hone in on a fine motor skill by shooting 50 rounds is unreasonable.

Shooting is very simple, yet not easy! Line up your sights and pull the trigger without inducing pre-ignition movement. Next, repeat the step above faster. Below are the seven basic fundamentals. Understanding and Mastery of these will allow you to shoot straight and fast.
